How to fill RTO Form 27 Application?

RTO Form 27 consists of three parts; In the first part, you enter your personal information, the second part is agreed with the financier, and the third part deals with official support.

Follow these steps to fill out Form 27 correctly:

Step 1: In the upper left-hand side of RTO Form 27, mention the address of the RTO where you want to re-register your vehicle.

Step 2: Write your name in the next black space and put ‘we’ in the salute. If there are joint owners of the automobile, strike off ‘I’ and enter the names of both the owners. Then write your father’s name. Married female owners can also mention their husband’s name in this section.

Step 3 Enter Vehicle Number and Chassis Number in the next blank space. If you have a battery-operated car, you can also mention the engine number or motor number.

Step 4:Now, write the vehicle type and the state where you initially registered the four-wheeler.

Step 5: After that, the vehicle owner mentions the date when they shifted the vehicle to the new state. They also record the validity of the original registration and declare that the authority has not suspended or canceled the document in the previous state.

Step 6: In the following blank, mention whether the automobile is under hire-purchase/ lease/ hypothecation agreement. If the vehicle is under any of these such contracts, declare whether the financier has given NOC regarding re-registration. In case of ‘refusal of NOC,’ the applicant should enclose a declaration as required under subsection (8) of section 51.

Step 7:Now put your signature along with the date of form submission.

Step 8: The next part of Form 27 contains the consent of the financier regarding the grant or denial of NOC. Here they mention their point of view regarding the assignment of the new registration mark. In case of refusal of NOC, the financier gives the reason behind it. The financier also puts his signature and date at the bottom of the consent.

Points to remember while filing Form 27.

Applicants are required to have a ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) from the RTO of the previous state during the submission of Form 27.

If a vehicle like Tata Prima is under hire-purchase or lease or hypothecation agreement, you will have to fill the form in duplicate.

When the original registration authority differs, candidates process the application three times.

In the cases mentioned above, the RTO sends the duplicate and triplicate copies to the financier and registering authority through registered post with the condition of acknowledgment due.
