The traffic police in Delhi issue E-challans for all traffic offenses under the Motor Vehicles Act. It is essential to comply with all rules and regulations issued by the Government of India. How to pay E-challans and fines online?
- Step 1: Visit Delhi Traffic Police official website
- Step 2: Select “notice”
- Step 3: Click on “Pending Notifications” below it
- Step 4: Enter the Challan number or your vehicle number in the appropriate field.
- Step 5: Click “Find Details,” and the information will appear on that page
- Step 6: Click “Pay Now” which is available for all pending challans.
- Step 7: Check the “Amount” and “ID”
- Step 8: Choose your payment method
- Step 9: Once your payment has been successful, a confirmation message will be sent to your registered mobile phone number
How does an E-challan work in Delhi?
E-challans are a digitized version of paper challans and are issued by the Indian Ministry of Roads Transport and Highways through the Traffic Police in Delhi. CCTV cameras are installed at strategic points in Delhi city to detect traffic violations. When such violations are detected, a traffic cop immediately sends an SMS to the offender’s registered cell phone number.
